ReCAD envisions a world where African scholars have equal opportunities to reach their full potential and compete globally through innovative, impactful research.
Purpose
The Association operates on a non-profit basis and fosters academic exchange between national and international researchers, practitioners and policymakers on various socioeconomic and environmental issues across African countries in view of curbing development challenges for Africa’s sustainability.
ReCAD, according to its institutional purpose, operates its main activity in relation to knowledge creation and dissemination in the following areas:
- Economic science;
- Management sciences;
- Environmental sciences;
- Agribusiness and project management;
- Decentralisation and local planning;
- Gender studies;
- Information technologies;
- Humanities, and other social sciences.
Objectives
In order to achieve our purpose, ReCAD shall have specific objectives, to
Capacity Building
ReCAD supports researchers through capacity building workshops, research seminars, and educational assistance for underprivileged children, including support for the education of girls
Social Welfare
ReCAD encourages and provides educational and social-welfare assistance to disabled students, socially underprivileged and poor female youths, refugees, and internally displaced persons (IDPs).
